I'm Finished...Now What?

As a new first grade teacher, I learned very quickly that you have to be prepared- for every second of the day. There are always a few students who finish work fast and need something to do. I was tired of hearing, "What do I do now?" So, I whipped these up and displayed them over the corresponding items:

 

Now, when the kiddos are finished with work, they come to this area and pick something to take to their desk, unless they choose to get on a laptop and log into IXL or XtraMath (a fabulous free math website!). If a student forgets and comes to ask me what they should do, I just point to this section and they get it!
